Alpha-Stim Technology
Dr. Kroll is excited to offer Alpha-Stim to her patients as both a stand-alone therapy and in conjuction with other treatment modalities. This is a clinically proven medical device that relieves anxiety, insomnia, depression and chronic pain using electromedical technology. Alpha-Stim provides long lasting, cumulative relief to you fast, without the negative side effects medications often cause. Treatment lengths vary, depending upon the person, and are generally administered two to three times per week. Alpha-Stim can also be used during psychotherapy sessions.
Alpha-Stim technology is safe, with no serious adverse events reported in over 30-years of clinical use. It uses low-level electrical current to safely and effectively treat anxiety, depression, and insomnia. The microcurrent activates particular groups of nerve cells located at the brainstem. These groups of nerve cells produce the chemicals serotonin and acetylcholine, which are neurotransmitters known to play a role in the regulation of emotion.
